Who do we work for?
There are many reasons why electricity storage is currently gaining importance and why it will continue to do so: Electricity grids are being burdened by the increasingly decentralized generation of electricity in other forms. One-way streets have become two-way streets without being built for them.
This leads to uneven loads, which requires a high level of effort to control the operation of the network and an increased risk of outages. Power failures and fluctuations are increasing. In addition to clean storage and, therefore, increasing the use of self-generated electricity, both in companies and in private households, there are additional advantages, especially in the commercial sector.
Self-generated electricity can be used with an electricity storage device regardless of the time of generation. The degree of self-sufficiency can be increased in this way. Storage to cover peak loads (shaving point) is valid for companies with so-called “special contracts”, in which the electricity consumed is also taken into account as part of the billing rate. Another field of application is emergency power supply. With a powerful energy storage unit, the necessary operational and economically viable equipment and machines can be supplied in the event of a power failure. These power outages often lead to damage to controls, security or IT equipment.
The consequences are repair costs, production losses and possible delivery disruptions – with all the resulting consequences. Last but not least, a properly sized and configured energy storage unit can also be used as a “controller” in the grid. In other words, depending on the situation, it takes power from the grid or releases it, thus generating an additional contribution to cover the cost. Therefore, the benefit of saving electricity is obvious – however, there are big differences in terms of their technical functionality: Automatic Parallel Unit of loading and unloading – or in short: ASTE technology – is the name of the intelligent control of energy saving electrical of ASD -Aste.
